What if Neurotypicals were the ones who were always criticized at school? It's important to realize that a lot of the things neurodivergent's are criticized for often have nothing to do with education or learning.

ADHD kids grow up hating themselves because they are constantly reminded of how bad they are

Autistics and neurotypicals often don't understand one another but that's not because autistic style is awkward, it's just a different culture

Many neurodivergents will tell you that getting a job is no easy task because you have to get judged on neurotypical communication styles even if they have absolutely nothing to do with job requirements. 

In consequence job interviewing tactics can often be very ableist and discriminate against qualified neurodivergent individuals.
