Supporting Videos I've made
ADHD kids grow up hating themselves because they are constantly reminded of how bad they are
99% of ADHDers have a strong overwhelming reaction to rejection or perceived rejection. This is called RSD. 1/3 of ADHDers say it's the worst part of ADHD.
I've heard from more than a few people that they don't like labels. Typically this isn't true as we use labels all the time, what people don't like is the label of Autistic or ADHD. This video explains why the label actually helps us to come to more acceptance of ourselves and why you should learn to like it also.
Our understanding of Autism has grown a lot in the last few years. There are a lot more people who fall under the umbrella of autism but who have been missed because they have learned how to camouflage or "mask" some of its traits.
In this video I share some of my own personal experiences in masking my own autism (even from myself)
Autistics and neurotypicals often don't understand one another but that's not because autistic style is awkward, it's just a different culture
Autistics and ADHDers often seem to have certain areas that they really enjoy and that light them up. Sometimes these things can be seen as obsessions from others but they are really ways to help the brain stay stimulated.
